Career 4.0 Entrepreneurship Training Platform
27.01.2022
In the last few days, 2 events were held in Gabrovo and Bochum, Germany, which presented to the general public the entrepreneurship training platform developed under the Career 4.0 project. It is available in 7 languages – the languages of the project partners plus English, and goes far beyond the capabilities of a single learning tool. Within 4 learning projects, young people can do a “Talent Diagnostic” to pass through the “Employment Radar”, where they learn to identify existing megatrends at national and regional level, identify niches for new activities and generate their own business ideas. They can also go through a “Listening to Experts” to discuss their ideas with them and give them advice for further development. As a final step, young people can go through the whole cycle of the “Founder’s Workshop”, which guides them step by step in creating their business plan. All these learning projects are united by the Personal Development Plan, through which the goals and results achieved by the young people are monitored. All along the way, participants are accompanied by mentors. The platform has many other functionalities and can safely be said to be one of the best tools of its kind at European level. It brings together the results of two previous projects Enterprise+ and Job Developer
The Gabrovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which is the partner for Bulgaria in the project, in autumn last year held a training of mentors and pilot training of students from the eighth grade of PTG “D-r. Vasiliadi”. The project was implemented in the first half of 2008. The training was integrated into the Entrepreneurship curriculum and provided an opportunity to test one of its possible future applications. Experts from the Career Guidance Centre in Gabrovo were actively involved in the diagnosis of the students’ talents.
At the final expert workshop of the Career 4.0 project, held on 19 and 20 January 2022 in Gabrovo, were presented the possibilities of the platform, other options for the introduction of innovative teaching/learning concepts to promote entrepreneurial and digital competences, as well as such applications in other areas (the allCUTE project for the qualification of engineers and technicians). Eight Bulgarian experts also participated in the Final Conference in Bochum. At both events, the possibilities for further development of the platform (introduction of artificial intelligence elements), possible applications after the end of the project were discussed.
The events were held in a hybrid format and were attended by representatives of local and regional authorities, NGOs, schools, etc. from Gabrovo region, as well as experts from many regions of Northern Bulgaria.
The Career 4.0 project is funded by Erasmus+. The lead organisation is the Institute for Labour and Legal Studies at the Ruhr University in Bochum, Germany, and the other partners are from universities, organisations and chambers in Greece, Italy, Spain, Hungary.
