ATA Carnets

The ATA carnet is an international unified customs guarantee document for temporary import, export and transit of goods, according to the ATA International Convention and the Istanbul Convention on Temporary Admission. According to the Bulgarian legislation, the regime for its use in the Republic of Bulgaria is regulated by the Regulations for application of the Customs Act.

The Republic of Bulgaria acceded to the ATA Convention in 1964, and its implementation began in 1967. From that moment BCCI is the issuer and guarantor of the ATA carnet. On this basis, the Chamber is member of the ATA International Guarantee Chain, established within the World Federation of Chambers of Commerce.

The ATA carnet is used for all signatories to the Convention.
